33 Tahrir men remanded

A Dhaka court on Sunday placed 33 members of banned Hizb-ut-Tahrir on
a 3-day remand for police interrogation.Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court Magistrate Saifur Rahman
granted the 3-day remand when investigation officer of the case
Sub-Inspector of Shahbag Thana Masud Rana produced them before the
court with 7-day remand plea.
Earlier, on Saturday noon some Hizb-ut-Tahrir activists brought out a
procession in front of the National Press Club.
In a drive, police dispersed them and arrested seven from the area.
Later, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Police personnel besieged
Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) building and arrested others.
