An ailing elephant of a circus group died at Simanta Bazar area of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila on Thursday.
Caretaker of the elephant Sohel Rana said it had been sick after a tumour was detected in its body 15 days ago.
Rajshahi Forest Department provided treatment to the ailing animal.
“We were bringing it back to Sylhet after the elephant recovered partially four days ago but it died on the way,” he said.- UNB
