Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel will be deployed in the city in the evening to prevent subversive activities ahead of Thursday’s hartal called by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
The decision to deploy the paramilitary came after Jamaat-e-Islami announced the countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for the day assuming that its leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee would be awarded an unjust punishment for his alleged war crimes.
