BSF picks up Bangladeshi along Lalmonirhat border

Border Security Force (BSF) of India picked up a Bangladeshi cattle trader along Srirampur border in Patgram upazila on Wednesday night.The victim is Tahidul Islam, 23, son of Oliar Rahman of Jhalangi village in the upazila.
Locals and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said BSF members from Ratanpur camp in Chengrabandha abducted Tahidul while a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders were returning from India with cattle through sub-pillar-3 of main pillar-854 of the border around 11:30 pm.
Confirming the incident, BGB Battalion-15 commanding officer Lt Col
Mahbubur Rahman said they held a flag meeting with BSF on Thursday afternoon. However, the Indian border guards did not return Tahidul. UNB
