Call for smooth holding of Hefazat’s long march

Convener of the newly formed Nagorik Odhikar Rakhya Committee Farhad Mazhar on Wednesday urged the government not to obstruct the long march programme of Hefazat-e-Islam and allow them to hold the programme smoothly.The noted columnist made the call while addressing a press conference at the National Press Club.
Hefazat-e-Islam announced to hold a long march towards Dhaka on April 6 demanding the arrest of atheist bloggers.
Extending its full support to the long march, Farhad Mazhar urged the government to arrange foods, water and accommodation facilities for the participants of the programme.
Issuing a note of warning to the government, Farhad Mazhar said, “If any untoward incident occurs over the programme, the government must shoulder the responsibility”. UNB
