DSE gains, CSE dips at closing

Share prices at the country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) showed positive trend while that at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) dip at closing on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.The DSE benchmark index, DGEN gained 10.74 points or 0.27 percent to reach 3935.96 at close today. Of the issues traded on the day, 106 gained, 119 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk. 172.08 crore changed hands on the day.
During the day’s trading, Fuel & Power (+1.19%) and General Insurance (+0.63%) recorded highest movement amid major sectors.
Meanwhile, the CSE key index, CSCX lost 10.59 points to stand at 7590.93 points at close today (Thursday). Of the issues traded till then, 45 gained, 112 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
Share prices worth Tk 21.35 crore were traded on the day.
