DSE index falls, turnover worse

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) turnover remained worse throughout the last week besides the investors also refrained from trading fearing the declining scenario.DGEN, the benchmark general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange lost 27.89 points or 0.67 percent in the last week and on last working day it stood at 4,132 points.
On the last week, the total turnover of bourse was Tk 718 crore which less 16.46 percent compared to Tk 688 crore of previous weeks besides daily turnover remained below 200 crore.
A total of 286 issues were traded where 65 advanced, 206 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
In the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) total turnover stood at Tk 91 crore last week.
CSE selective category index stood at 8040 points loosing 0.53 points then previous week.
Of the total traded 210 issues, 52 advanced, 143 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
