Ferdous, Joya best actors of 2011

The government on Monday recognised 24 artistes, directors and other professionals for their artistic and technical excellence in the National Film Award – 2011.Matinee idol of yesteryears, Abdur Razzak, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, said an official handout.
Ferdous Ahmed has been judged as best actor for his outstanding performance in the film ‘Kusum Kusum Prem”. TV drama darling Joya Ahsan won the best actress award for her dynamic performance in the film “Guerrilla”.
The film ‘Guerrilla’ produced by Faridur Reza Sagar and Esha Yousuf won in the best film category, while Nasiruddin Yousuf Bachchu was named best film director for the same film.
The award for the best actor in supporting role went to M A Alamgir for the film “Ke Apon Ke Por” while Farida Akhter Babita bagged the best actress in supporting role award for the same movie.
Kumar Biswajit was named as the best singer male in the film ‘Ma Amar Chokher Moni’ and Nazmun Munira Nancy as the best singer female for the film “Projapoti”.
The films “Loknayak Kangal Harinath” produced by Department of Films and Publications, and “Al-Badr” (based on war crimes) produced by Fakhrul Arefin Khan were awarded in the best documentary film category.
Shatabdi Wadud and Misha Soudagor were jointly adjudged as the best ‘villain’ for the films “Guerrilla” and “Boss Number One”, while Semonti won the best child artist award in the film “Khandagalpa -1971”.
Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal was named as the best story writer for the film “Amar Bondhu Rashed”. Bachchu and Ebadur Rahman bagged the best dialogue writer for the film ‘Guerrilla’ which also landed them the best script writer award.
Habib Wahid was named as the best music director for the film ‘Projapoti’. Emon Saha won in the best music composer category for the film “Kusum Kusum Prem” while Shafique Tuhin bagged the best lyricist award for the movie “Projapoti”.
L Apu Rosario won the best choreographer award for the film ‘Amar Bondhu Rashed’ while Ratan Paul was adjudged the best sound recorder for the same film.
Samir Ahmed was named as the best editor for the film “Guerrilla” while Animesh Aich won the award of the best art director, Ali Babul the best makeup artist and Shimul Yousuf the best costume designer for the same film.
The film “Guerrilla” won the highest awards in nine categories.
“Guerrilla” is a movie based on the events of Bangladesh Liberation War. The movie is an adaptation of the novel “Nishiddho Loban” by playwright Syed Shamsul Huq.
