Govt picks public’s pocket: Anu Mohammad

Fuel expert Professor Dr Anu Mohammad categorically said that the incumbent government is picking the pockets of the public through hiking fuel price.

He came up with the observation while addressing a rally organized by National Committee on Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Port Protection in front of National Press Club on Saturday afternoon.
Anu Mohammad said, “The increased fuel price affecting the economy of the country which has increased the living costs. And thus the government is picking the pockets.”
“The government introduced quick rental power station to please World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), although it would cost less if the oil-based power station could be generated,” he added.
He also said that the matter of foreign reserve crisis is fake and made for the interest of a quarter.
Over Sunday’s hartal, he added, “For the first time BNP giving hartal for the sake of the people, although there is no different between Awami League and BNP in hiking fuel price.”banglanews24.com
