The government is going to import 20 more new trains from China to ease sufferings of the common people through railway communication.
Railway Minister M Mojibul Haque made the disclosure while addressing a programme held Dhaka Reporters Unity on Wednesday.
All equipments, including engine, would be bought from China soon, he added.
He also said the incumbent government has taken various initiatives to modernize the railway communication.
The ruling Awami League lawmaker also said, “The then BNP-led 4-party alliance government wanted to narrow it as many rail lines was closed during their regime.”
He also called upon the journalists to inform him about occupied land of railway to solve accommodation problems of the journalists as government earlier announced it.banglanews24.com
