Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif on Monday said the government will not obstruct Hefajat-e-Islam’s April 6 long march toDhakaif it is held peacefully.
“However, law-enforcement agencies will swing into action in case of any trouble,” Hanif told journalists while emerging from Home Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir’s office at the Secretariat.
Terming Jamaat-e-Islami a fascist organisation, Hanif said it is not a political party. “They’re carrying out terrorist activities…the government will deal with their rampage with an iron hand.” UNB
