Kader Siddiqui gets bail in defamation case

Dhaka – A Dhaka court on Monday granted bail to Krishak Sramik Janata League president Bangabir Kader Siddiqui, Bir Uttam, on personal security in a case filed against him for calling Home Minister MK Alamgir a war criminal.
Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman passed the order after a freedom fighter, Ruhul Amin, filed a defamation suit against Siddiqui for calling MK Alamgir a war criminal.
The Metropolitan Magistrate later transferred the case to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court for further action.
According to the complaint, Kader Siddiqui said it is not possible to try war criminals keeping ‘Razakar Home Minister MK Alamgir’ in office.
He made the comment at a prograame on February 9, which was reported in different media the next day.
