‘Nation not headed to anarchy’

Home Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir on Saturday rejected the BNP charge that the Awami League-led grand alliance government is leading the country towards instability and political confrontation.

“A stable situation and peace is prevailing in the country. Instead, it’s the BNP that is out to push the country towards instability,” he told reporters after a conference of the Kachua upazila unit of the Awami League in Chandpur district at noon.

The Home Minister said that the children of freedom fighters would be given weight during manpower recruitment for the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

He announced to recruit 30 eligible people in the paramilitary force from each of the upazilas across the country.

Winter clothes and cash were distributed among distressed freedom fighters at the function.bdnews24.com
