Noman says : “No upazila poll before national election”

BNP vice chairman Abdullah Al Noman said BNP will not let to hold any Upazila Parishad polls in the country before the national election.

He came up with the observation while addressing a programme at the Shaheed Minar premises of port city organized by Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi samajik sanskritik Sangstha (JASAS).

JASAS organized the programme to mark its 34 founding anniversary.

The ruling party wants to stay in country’s power by killing innocent people like Biswajit Das, alleged the opposition BNP leader.

“No autocratic government could stay in state power”, he said adding that, “Awami League also will not be able to do so.”

He also demanded immediate release of all the opposition leaders and activists including BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

With JASAS president Kazi Akhbar in the chair, the programme was also addressed by former vice chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Enamul Haque and Professor Dr Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury.
