A man was killed while his wife and son were injured as a nor’wester hit Shibbari and other three villages in Nakla upazila here on early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Billal Hossain, 42, son of Azgor Ali of the village.
Md Jahidur Rahman, Nakla upazila nirbahi officer said, on information, they visited the area and gave Tk 10,000 to the victim’s family.
Police said a jackfruit tree fell on Billal’s house during the storm at the time of Sehri, leaving the trio injured.
Locals rescued them and took to Nakla Upazila Hospital where doctor declared Billal Hossain dead.
