Prayers offered for President’s early recovery

Special prayers were offered in all mosques across the country after Magrib prayers and in other worship places on Monday evening seeking divine blessings for the early recovery of ailing President Zillur Rahman.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged all to join the prayers in all mosques after Magrib prayers and other places of worship, said PM’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.

President Zillur Rahman is undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday morning.

Earlier, an air ambulance of the Mount Elizabeth Hospital, carrying Zillur Rahman, reached Changi International Airport at 5.00 am (Singapore time) on Monday. Bangladesh Ambassador to Singapore Mahbub Uz Zaman received him at the airport.

President Zillur left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:45 pm on Sunday.

The President was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka on Saturday night with respiratory problems. UNB
