DHAKA- Kazi Mahbub Afzal Ranjan emerged champion in the 162nd UCCC Online Blitz Chess tournament that concluded on Tuesday last night, said a press release today.
Azmain Parvez Sayor finished runners-up in this meet.
Both Ranjan and Azmain secured equal six points each from seven matches and their place was decided in the tiebreaking system.
Besides, Sumon Devnath, Motiur Rahman Mamun, Ariful Amin and Kamrul Hasan Milton finished third, fourth, fifth and sixth position respectively securing equal 5.5 points from seven matches after their places were decided in tie breaking system.
While Anwar Hossain Dulal, Badol Sikder, Milon Biswas and Sheikh Ruman-ur Rashid finished seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth position respectively with equal five points from seven matches after their place was decided in the tiebreaking system.
A total of 69 local and foreign chess players took part in the Swiss league system tournament, organised by Uttara Central Chess Club.BSS
