Shibir activists vandalized few vehicles and blasted cocktails in city’s Mohakhali on Sunday evening. Otherwise hartal was observed in the city by and large peacefully.Witness said 15/16 Shibir activists riding on seven motorbikes rushed to the spot and and sped away from the scene after exploding cocktails before police rushed there.
Duty officer of Banani Thana Abul Hashem Mridha told banglanews that the situation is under control now.
Besides, hartal supporters torched two vehicles in Gazipur district town. Meanwhile, a former ward commissioner of Siddik Bazaar area, belonging to the main opposition BNP succummbed to his bullet injury received during Saturday’s clash with police in the Shantinagar area.
