Dhaka – The 9th round of the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football begins here on Monday (Oct 2) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) after a recess of 17 days for international engagements of national junior and youth teams.On the opening day, Dhaka Abahani Ltd will play Brothers Union Club Ltd at 4:30 while League leader Chittagong Abahani Ltd will face their close contenders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at 6:45 pm at BNS.On the following day (Tuesday), Muktijoddha Sangsad KC will meet bottom-placed Farashganj SC at 4:30 pm while Rahmatganj MFS will encounter Team BJMC at 6:45 pm at the same venue.Earlier on last Saturday, BFF Professional Football League Committee, chaired by committee president and BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy, decided to start the first match of the 9th of BPL at 4:30 pm and the 2nd match at 6:45 pm as per opinion of the stakeholders.The league committee also decided that all the BPL matches will be held at the Bangbandhu National Stadium in Dhaka as the facilities of MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong and Jessore Stadium are not yet up to the mark.Among other decisions, the committee decided that the second registration window for BPL will be conducted from October 15 to November 10 and the second phase matches will begin from November 13, 2017.Meanwhile, the second phase of Marcel Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) will begin from October 4.The 2nd registration window for Marcel Bangladesh League 2017 will started from September 23 and will continue till September 29, 2017.Points Table of BPL after the 8th round matches.
