Sk Kamal Football: Shaheen secure 3-1 win against Manang with Sharifi’s hattrick

Dhaka –Captain Amiruddin Sharifi struck a hat-trick for Afghan club Shaheen Asmayee FC’s 3-1 victory against Manang Marshyangdi Club of Nepal in the 2nd edition of the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup football tournament at MA Aziz wStadium in Chittagong on Wednesday.Forward Sharifi struck set the hat-trick scoring in the 38th, 65th and 77th minutes.Manang’s defender Bimal Basnet scored the only goal for his team at the 72nd minute.

With the day’s victory in the four-team Group B match, Shaheen Asmayee FC resurgent in the eight-team tournament to keep their hopes of moving into the semifinals alive, following their start with a 1-3 loss against the hosts Chittagong Abahani Ltd in the first match.

Shaheen Asmayee took the lead in from a counter-attack by Amiruddin a left-footed shot from outside the box, 1-0.

Amiruddin doubled the lead with an angular shot, but Manang Marshyangdi reacted sharply to reduce the margin by a header of substitute Bimal Basnet, 2-1.

Amiruddin completed his hat-trick converting a penalty shot correctly after Adama Boh Sissoko who handled the ball inside the box, 3-1.

With the win Shaheen Asmayee FC opened their account with three points while Manang remained with previous three points. Both the teams played two-match each.

Meanwhile, in the day’s other match Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club forced defending champion Chittagong Abahani Ltd to play a goalless draw at the same venue.

Ctg Abahani started their Group B campaign in the eight-team tournament with a 3-1 victory against Shaheen Asmayee FC of Afghanistan while Dhaka Mohammedan SC with a 0-2 defeate against Manang Marshyangdi Club of Nepal.

With the day result, hosts side Ctg Abahani collected four points from two matches while Dhaka Mohammedan SC open the account collecting one points also from two matches.
