Tour Match: Tigers 391/7 vs Lankan President XI on day 1

Dhaka – Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal retired out with a century of 136 runs as the Tigers were at stumps after day one collecting 391/7 in the two-day tour-match against Sri Lanka Cricket President’s XI at Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa on Thursday. Sent in to bat first, the Tigers played 90 overs for their collection riding on the 2nd pair stand of 143 in 32.5 overs between Tamim and Mominul Haque.Starting from 26/1 in 9.1 overs, the 2nd pair ended at 169/2 in 42 overs as Mominul retired out for 73 off 103 balls, including 10 boundaries,UNB news agency.Tamim featured nine boundaries and seven over boundaries off 182 balls before retiring out at 264/4 in 59 overs.Liton Kumar Das at stumps hammering a half century of 57 off 64 balls, including 10 boundaries, while Taijul Islam (4) paired him in the 8th wicket to resume the 2nd day’s play on Friday.Mahmudullah Riyad stayed for 43 runs while all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim added 30 and 21 runs respectively.
