Dhaka – Lalmatia Club and Matuail Cricket Academy secured victories against their rivals in the 24-team Dhaka Second Division ODM Cricket League at two separate venues in the outskirts of Dhaka on Wednesday.Lalmatia (246/5 in 47.4 overs) defeated Narayanganj Cricket Academy(245/10 in 50 overs) by five-wicket in their Group B match at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground 4 in Savar.Matuail CA (258/7 in 50 overs) outplayed Prantic Krira Ckakra (109/7 in 23 overs) in the rain-hit match by 52 runs as Prantic KC failed to chase a revised target of 162 runs in 23 overs in another Group B match at Fatullah Outer Stadium in Narayanganj. Meanwhile, the day’s another match between Young Cricketers and Rayer Bazar Athletic Club was abandoned due to rain at Jagannath Hall Ground of Dhaka University.Batting first, Young Cricketers scored 178/9 in 50 overs while Rayer Bazar AC opened the bat and collected 47/0 in 12 overs when the rain halted the match which was later declared abandoned.UNB agency
