Dhaka– Dhaka Gladiator (Europa Youth) got off to a good start in the Metropolis Premier Division Basketball League beating Hornets Club by 88-40 points in the opening match at Dhanmondi wooden floor gymnasium here on Thursday.The winners led the first half by 50-24 points.UNB agencyManaging Director of league sponsor Uni Med and Uni Health Manufacturers Ltd M Mosaddek Hossain inaugurated the league as the chief guest while President of Bangladesh Basketball Federation Dr Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, who is also the President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), was also present on the occasion.Ten teams — The Gregory’s Club, Dhaka Gladiators (Europa Youth), Dhumketu Club, Eagles Club, Old DOHS SC, Rangers Club, Hornets SC, Flame Boys, The Gregs and Bakshibazar Club — are taking part in the league organised by Bangladesh Basketball Federation.
