SAFF Champs: Bangladesh will play Nepal in semifinal on Friday

Dhaka – Defending champions Bangladesh will play hosts Nepal in the first semifinal of the six-nation SAFF U-15 Championship on Friday (Aug 25) at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, Nepal.The match will kick-off at 3:30 pm Bangladesh time.The semifinals line-up was finalized after the India-Nepal last Group B match on Wednesday at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu.India, which emerged Group B champions with all-win run beating hosts Nepal by 2-1 goals in the group deciding match Wednesday afternoon, will play Group A runners-up Bhutan in the 2nd semifinal, also on Wednesday, at Halchowk Stadium.The final match will be held on Sunday (Aug 27) at ANFA Complex in Kathmandu Earlier, Bangladesh smartly reached the semifinal of the regional meet as Group A champions with all-win record beating Bhutan by 3-0 goals and Sri Lanka by 4-0 goals in group affairs. Bhutan moved into the semifinal as Group A runners up beating Sri Lanka by 6-0 goals.India clinched the Group A title crushing the Maldives by 9-0 goals while Nepal confirmed the semifinal berth outplaying the Maldives by 6-0 goals,UNB news agency
