Dhaka – Palolic Club of Bangladesh finished their campaign in the six-nation Advocate Golam Mostafa Memorial South Asian Club Table Tennis Championship placing 3rd after 3-1 set victories each against visiting Sri Lanka and Maldives at MA Aziz Stadium Gymnasium in Chattogram on Monday.Hosta Bangladesh collected six points to place 3rd while India clinched the title with 10 points after straight 3-0 set wins each against Sri Lanka and Nepal in the day’s fixtures at the same venue.
The 2nd place finishers Nepal managed a 3-1 set win against the 5th place finishers Bhutan.The Maldives placed the bottom 6th after losing the day’s another game against Bhutan by 3-2 set.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin distributed prizes in the closing function as the chief guest.
