Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited on Wednesday organised a discussion on ‘Role of Mahe Ramadan in Attaining Taquah and Ifter Mahfil’ at Diploma Engineers Institution in the city. Managing Director of the Bank Mohammad Abdul Mannan presided over the programme. M Nurul Islam, Muhammad Abul Bashar, M Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, AKM Abdul Malek Chowdhury, M Mahbub-ul-Alam, Rafi Ahmed Begh, Nurul Islam Khalifa and executives and officials of the bank were present at the function. Abdul Mannan said Islami Bank is working relentlessly to establish the economic culture of Islam free from repression and injustice. He said IBBL has been able to achieve the confidence of all community by introducing Takwa based transaction in banking activities. He said that Bank is working to minimise the gap between the rich and poor in the light of distributive justice of Islam.
