The Bangladesh Bank on Thursday urged all concerned Bangladeshi nationals to remain aware against buying permanent property like flats abroad through sending money from the country. The central bank has noticed recently that some of the most circulated national dailies are publishing lucrative advertisements of some companies for purchasing flats at Dubai in the UAE and some other countries, Bangladesh Bank General Manager AFM Asaduzzaman told UNB. According to the Foreign Exchange Regulations Act 1947 (A), he said, restriction is there for sending money abroad from Bangladesh for purchasing such permanent property. The central bank official also urged the mass media to be more alert in circulating and airing such advertisements. -UNB
