Dhaka – Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will play holders Dhaka Abahani Limited in their crucial match of the Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League at BKSP ground on Wednesday to keep their super league hope alive.
Four teams out of 12 have confirmed their Super League berth from the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. Four other teams are now battling for the remaining seats of the super league and Sheikh Jamal DC are one of them.
Abahani won eight matches out of 10 while Sheikh Jamal came up victorious in five games.
In the last three games, Sheikh Jamal lost all of them while Abahani registered two wins and one defeat in as many matches.
These stats are enough to prove that Sheikh Jamal need to play their best cricket to overcome the challenge of Abahani.
Alongside Sheikh Jamal SC, Gazi Group Cricketers and Mohammedan Sporting Clubs have also obtained 10 points each from five wins in 10 rounds of the league.
Sheikh Jamal are set to play their last round of the league match on Wednesday against Abahani while Gazi Group and Mohammedan SC will take to the field on Thursday against Prime Bank Sporting Club and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan respectively..
However, there are two more matches scheduled for Wednesday. League leader Legends of Rupganj will face Uttara Sporting Club in Dhaka while Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club will lock horns with Brothers Union Club in Fatullah.
