BPL Football: Ctg Abahani beat NoFeL SC 3-0

Dhaka – Chittagong Abahani Ltd thrashed NoFeL Sporting Club by 3-0 goals in their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football match at Shaheed Bulu Stadium in Noakhali on Friday.

Chittagong Abahani finally got a win after five BPL matches. With the third victory in 11 matches, Chittagong Abahani have now 14 points, one point ahead of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.

On the other hand, NoFeL, which faced sixth defeat in the ongoing league, remained in the 10th spot with 8 points.

Chittagong Abahani got an early 1-0 lead when right midfielder Naimur Rahman Shahed netted the first goal from a direct free kick in the 2nd minute.

They continued their domination with an attacking strategy and got another success in the 23rd minute. This time, Nigerian recruit left midfielder Magalan Ugochukwu Awala doubled the margin for his side. NoFeL tried to stage a comeback until the referee whistled for the half time.

With the 2-0 lead, Chittagong Abahani carefully started their second half while NoFeL continued their attacks.

The sky-blue outfit of Chittagong took three substitutes replacing Gambian recruit forward Mamadou Bah by midfielder Monaem Raju Khan, forward Sohel Khan by defender Kasto Kumar Bosh and midfielder Naimur Rahman Shahed by Monsur Amin.

On the other hand, NoFeL replaced midfielder Khandokar Ashraful Islam by another midfielder Robiul Hasan in the second half. Despite showing good efforts, NoFeL booters failed to score.

Instead, Chittagong Abahani got another success when Magalan Ugochukwu Awala scored his second goal in the stoppage time to win the match 3-0.UNB
