An unauthorised tea factory was unearthed by police at Alinagar village in Kamalganj
upazila of the district on Friday.
During the drive, police also arrested three people—Rina, Chamrun and Taher—from the
factory.
Being tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the village around 12 noon and
recovered illegally-made tea making machinery and a large number of tea bags, said
Nihar Ranjan Nath, officer-in-charge of Kamaganj Police Station.
They had been selling tea across the country through processing green tea leaves by
machine, which were procured illegally from workers of different tea gardens, added the
