The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) on Tuesday approved nine projects involving Tk 13,639.1crore, including a Tk 6,014.62 core project for enhancing the capacity of Mongla Port.The approval came from the weekly Ecnec meeting held at the National Economic Council (NEC) conference room with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Of the total cost, Tk 8,886.44 crore will come from the government fund while Tk 293.16 crore from the own fund of Rajshahi City Corporation and the rest Tk 4,459.41 crore as project assistance from foreign sources, reports UNB.
