Depression over Bay of Bengal

The well marked Low over Southeast Bay and adjoining area concentrated into a depression over the same area on Monday.   It was centered at 3 pm on
Monday about 1315 kms South of Chittagong port, 1225 kms South of Cox’s Bazar port and 1320 kms of South of Mongla port, said a Met office
bulletin.
It is likely to intensify further and move in a West-Northwesterly direction.  Maximum sustained wind speed within 44 kms
of the depression centre is about 40 kph rising to 50 kph in gust or squalls.  South Bay will remain moderate.   All fishing boats and trawlers
over deep sea have been advised to come to North Bay and proceed with caution until further notice. – UNB
