Workshop on Citizen’s Charter Implementation begins in Bogra

A two-day long Capacity Building workshop on Citizen’s Charter Implementation at the DC offices and SPS Methods and Techniques began at Naz Garden Hotel here this morning.
Ministry of Public Administration (MOPA) has organised the workshop under Civil Service Change Management Programme funded by UNDP and government of Bangladesh.Rajshahi divisional commissioner M. Helal Uddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest and director general of Prime Minister’s Office (Governance Innovation Unit) Abdul Halim, joint secretary of the MOPA Zafar Ikbal and deputy commissioner of Bogra M. Shafiqur Reza Biswas were present as the special guests.Issues on Citizen’s Charter: Concepts, Practices and international comparative analysis, Pilot Implementation: Experience and Pilot Implementation: Challenges and Results would be presented through multimedia projector during the first day of the workshop.Besides, Citizen’s Charter Roll out Plan for the DC offices: Process and Timeline and Innovation in Public Services: Cases and Stakeholder Analysis would also be presented on the day, sources said.A total of 85 additional deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, members of civil society, public representatives and media personalities from all the 16 districts under Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and Kushtia district under Khulna division are taking part in the workshop. -BSS, Bogra
