Singapore to invite B’desh businessmen

Singapore will invite private entrepreneurs from Bangladesh to gain experience for boosting local economy.
Chan Heng Wing, Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to Bangladesh, said this when she called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on Thursday.The prime minister’s Special Assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil later briefed reporters about the meeting.
The envoy said Bangladeshi businessmen would be invited to gain experience from Singapore economy, Shakil said.
Chan congratulated the prime minister on her landslide victory in the Jan 5 elections on behalf of Singapore’s head of the government, he said.
The meeting stressed the need for further increase in bilateral trade and commerce.
The prime minister pitched for mutual cooperation among ASEAN and South Asian countries, Shakil said.
Hasina said her administration would give priority to exporting agro products in future, the prime minister’s special aide said.-bdnews24.com
