An emergency meeting of the International Farakka Committee (IFC), New York, environment and water rights watch group, will be held at 72-26 Roosevelt Avenue (Popular Driving School) New York, at 3 pm on 23 November to decide on the course of action to protest the violation of the Ganges Water Sharing Treaty and the move to construct 16 barrages on the Ganges. All advisers, members and interested persons are invited to attend, says a press release issued by Atiqur Rahman Salu, chairman, IFC, New York.
