ECB announces Test, ODI squads for Bangladesh tour

Dhaka – The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday announced a 17-member Test and 15-member ODI squads for
Bangladesh tour to play cricket series, involving two Tests and three One-Day Internationals.Alastair Cook will lead the England Test team while Jos Buttler the one-day team. Besides his ODI captaincy, Lancashire wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler returned to the Test squad for the first time since October 2015,AP/UNB News Reported.
The English side Test squad included three uncapped players — Zafar Ansari, Ben Duckett and Haseeb Hameed.The 19-year-old Lancashire opening batsman Haseeb Hameed has been included in the Test squad for the first time and there is also a place in both squads for Northamptonshire’s prolific batsman Ben Duckett.England selected four spinners in the Test party, including the
uncapped Surrey left-armer Zafar Shahaan Ansari alongside his county captain Gareth Batty, who will be looking to play at this level for the first time since 2005.38-year-old Gareth Batty played seven Tests for England including three against Bangladesh. The quartet is completed with Worcestershire’s Moeen Ali and Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid.The English teams are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on September 30 and will stay until November 2 to play the Test and ODI series in Dhaka and Chittagong.
