Finally, superstar Hrithik Roshan and his estranged wife Sussanne Khan are now legally seperated. The couple was granted divorce by the family court at Bandra on Saturday, November 1, 2014.Hrithik’s lawyer Deepesh Mehta reveals, “They are legally divorced now. Today at around 10:30 a.m., all things were done. They have got divorced in a very unique and elegant way where there is no alimony and not a single document drawn up between them. It’s all on the basis of trust, respect and faith. This is an example they have set on how a couple should part ways in an elegant and classy way.”Meanwhile, Hrithik and Sussanne are blessed with two kids – children Hrehaan and Hridhaan – where they will in the couple’s joint custody.“They have joint custody. Whenever and whoever wants to be with the kids, can be with them,” Mehta added.On December 13, 2013, Hrithik Roshan gave an official statement to end his 17 year old relationship with Sussanne Khan. The couple dated for 4 long years before getting hitched on December 20, 2000.While Hrithik’s statement read as, “This is my greatest tribute to love. Sussanportne is and always will be the love of my life for the rest of my life. If her smiles are brighter without me, my love for her must accomplish that.”
On the other side, Sussanne stated that ending their long marital relationship was their own personal choices and their kids will always be their responsibility. Her statement read as, “We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own individual choices.We are parents to two wonderful kids and our responsibility remains to protect and take care of them.
