Maritime ports asked to hoist signal No 3

Dhaka: The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 as deep convection is continuing over the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas.
Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country, said a Met office bulletin. UNB News Agency Reported.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the north Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
Under the influence of active monsoon, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at places over Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions during next 24-hour, the bulletin added.
Due to heavy rainfall, landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions of Chittagong division.
