Dhaka, Dec 27 – Eleven police officers have been promoted to the rank of deputy inspector general (DIG) of police.
The Public Security Division of the home ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.
The officials include Khulna Range Additional DIG Md Habibur Rahman, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Joint Commissioner Ashrafuzzaman, Police Headquarters Additional DIG SM Akteruzman, Chittagong Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Amena Begum, and Police Headquarters Additional DIG Md Haider Ali Khan.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Md Azad Mia, Police Headquarters Additional DIG Md Mahbubur Rahman, Rapid Action Battalion Director (Additional DIG) Begum Atika Islam, Police Headquarters Additional DIG Md Ruhul Amin, DMP Joint Commissioner Basudeb Banik, and Police Headquarters Additional DIG Md Monirul Islam were also promoted to the rank of DIG. – UNB
