130 Bangladesh workers sent back home from KSA

Dhaka, Oct 4 (UNB) – Some 130 Bangladeshi workers were sent back home from Saudi Arabia on Thursday night amid a crackdown on undocumented workers.

A flight of Saudi Airlines carrying the workers landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11:20 pm, said Shariful Hasan, programme head of Brac Migration Programme.

Some of the workers, who returned home last night, alleged that workers who have legal documents are also being detained by Saudi police .

The authorities concerned of Brac Migration Programme provided necessary assistance, including food, to the Bangladeshi workers.
