The central bank has prohibited three BASIC Bank branches in the capital from disbursing loans on charges of irregularities and corruption.

Bangladesh Bank’s Executive Director M Mahfuzur Rahman said on Monday that the three branches had been barred from disbursing loans becuase of widespread irregularities.
“We have sent a letter to the bank to notify them of the matter,” he said.
The letter also said other branches of the bank would face similar actions if any irregularities were found.-bdnews24.com
