Gaibandha, Feb 19 (UNB) : Three men have been arrested for hacking a local trader to death in Burail village of Fulchhari upazila in Gaibandha, police said Friday.
The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Mohammad Ali. However, identities of those held have not yet been disclosed by police.
Officer-in-Charge of Fulchhari Police Station Md Kawsar Ali said some assailants barged into Ali’s house late Thursday night and attacked him with sharp weapons.
“A severely injured Ali died on the way to hospital in the early hours of Friday. The three accused were picked up within a couple of hours,” the OC said.
The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for an autopsy, he added.
