4-day Russian cultural festival begins Friday

A four-day Russian cultural festival will begin in the capital and port city Chittagong from Friday to mark the “Russian Cultural Day-2014”.
The festival will be organised by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy under the cultural ministry and Russian Embassy in Dhaka.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzaman Noor said this on Wednesday at a press conference at Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka.The festival will begin with a cultural show, staged by Russian Orenburg State Academic Folk Choir at Shilpakala Academy at 6.30 pm.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will inaugurate the programme as the chief guest.
On the next day, another Russian cultural show will be performed in the same time at the same venue.
On November 23, cultural programme will be staged at Russian Embassy here.
Orenburg State Academic Folk Choir will stage their performance at Theater Institute Chittagong (TIC) Auditorium in the port city on November 24.
Noor said relations between Bangladesh and Russia is historic and deep. In return, Russia will celebrate Bangladesh cultural Day-2015 in Russia next year, he said.
Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander A. Nikolaev was also present at the press conference. – BSS
