6 yrs into marriage, Shakib pays maiden visit to in-laws’ Narsingdi house

Dhaka – Bangladesh Test and T20 skipper Shakib Al Hasan visited the house of his in-laws in Monohardi upazila in Narsingdi Thursday for the first time after his marriage with Umme Ahmed Shishir six years back.

Shakib and his wife along with Industries Minister and MP from Monohardi Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun arrived here around 11am.

They were received at the Narsingi Club by Zila Parishad Chairman Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, Mayor of Narsingdi municipality Quamruzzaman, Mayor of Monohardi municipality Aminul Rashid Sujon, and President of district Awami League Bijoy Krishna Goswami and general secretary Mahmudul Hasan Shamim.UNB

Later, Shakib, Shishir and the minister went to the all-rounder in-laws’ house at Rampur village of Monohardi.

Knowing Shakib’s presence, many of his fans thronged the house to get a glimpse of the all-rounder.

A reception was also accorded to Shakib and Nurul Majid on the occasion.

Shakib left his in-laws’ house for Dhaka around 3:45pm.

The world renowned all-rounder got married with Shishir, daughter of US expatriate Momtaz Uddin Sardar, back in 2012 and the couple is blessed with a baby daughter named Alaina Hasan Abri.

He is currently busy with Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as the captain of former champions Dhaka Dynamites.
