Rosatom to open regional office in Brazil

Rosatom International Network, a subsidiary of Russia’s state nuclear energy corporation- Rosatom is going to open a regional office in Rio de Janeiro of Brazil. The new office will function as ROSATOM América Latina and will be the Headquarter of Rosatom for Latin America.Necessary permission for opening the office have already been obtained. Sergei Krivolapov will serve as the Head of ROSATOM América Latina. Krivolapov informed that te new office will help intensify Rosatom’s cooperation with the partners in the region by supporting the ongoing projects and search for the new opportunities and cooperation with other Latin American companies.
Latin America is a priority region for Rosatom in terms of cooperation development. Russia has already signed agreement with Brazil and Argentina among others on cooperation for peaceful use of nuclear energy. Areas of cooperation include construction of nuclear power plants, supply of nuclear fuels, joint research development in the field of nuclear energy, science and education and others.
Rosatom presently has its regional offices in France, Czech Republic, Ukraine, South Africa, and Singapore to enhance and ensure its global operation. – Triune press release
