Locals at Narayanganj’s Arhaihazar Upazila have beaten to death seven suspected robbers.The incident at the Upazila’s Purindbazar area early on Thursday left three others injured, said Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Zahir Uddin.
Quoting locals, the police official said that a ‘gang of robbers’ attacked a wholesaler’s warehouse at Purindabazar around 5am. “Locals rushed out in some numbers when the security guard screamed and beat the robbers.”
Police later recovered the bodies and sent those injured to the hospital, he added.
The victims are yet to be identified.
