Police have shown 83 Bangladeshis, returned from Vietnam and Qatar two weeks ago, arrested. Turag Police Station OC Nurul Mottakin told media they were arrested under section 54 of the CrPCon Tuesday on completion of a 14-day quarantine.
DMP’s Uttara Division DC Nabid Kamal Shaibal informed that of the 83 arrested persons, two had come from Qatar and the rest from Vietnam.
“They were in jail in those countries for being involved with crimes. But, we don’t know about the nature of the crimes they had involved in. They were produced before the court after showing arrested under Section 54 as suspects,” he added.
On August 18, some 112 Bangladeshis including 107 migrants returned to the country by a chartered plane.
They were later taken to Uttara’s Diabari isolation centre for quarantine, reports UNB.
