Dhaka – The 18th meeting of the Standing Committee on Protocol on Inland Water Transit & Trade (PIWTT) between India and Bangladesh was held on Tuesday in Dhaka.
Additional Secretary of the Bangladesh’s Shipping Ministry Md. Rafiqul Islam and Chairman of Inland Waterways Authorities of India, Amitabh Verma, led the respective sides at the meeting.The meeting of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) on trans-shipment of goods at Ashuganj also took place on the same day.
Bilateral issues of mutual interests were discussed at the meetings, the Indian High Commission in Dhaka said in a statement. – Agency
