Dhaka – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 28 people from Benapole Bazar as they entered Bangladesh from India illegally through a border point here in Benapole on Wednesday.The detainees, including 12 men, 10 women and six children, are reportedly residents of different villages in Narail and Khulna districts,UNB news agency reported.Tipped off, a BGB team conducted a drive in the bazaar at noon and detained them when they entered the Bangladesh territory without valid travel documents, said commanding officer of BGB battalion-26 Lt Col Jahangir Hossain.Later, BGB members handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station.A case was filed in this regard.
