Dhaka – A vegetable vendor was killed in a road accident in Farkerhat Bazar area under Rajarhat upazila in Kurigram this morning.The victim was M Shafik, 40, son of Saber Uddin, a resident of Chaparhat in Lalmonirhat district.Police said the accident occurred when a green chili-laden pickup van hit a roadside tree in the area as its driver lost control over the vehicle, leaving the vehicle passenger Shafik dead on the spot.Officer-in-Charge of Rajarhat Police Station M Mukhlesur Rahman confirmed the incident.BSS
